Phuket/Thailanda

Phuket Island is the island's largest and most likely knew of Thailand. It is also a province by itself, and while its economy was historically based on rubber and tin, now is no doubt that tourism is the most important of the island.

Reaching Phuket is quite easy, due to a bridge that runs on the island continent. There is also the Phuket International Airport, which receives daily flights from a variety of international centers. Buses, tuk tuks, taxis and motorbikes are the main form of transport on the island itself.

The beaches are one of the biggest attractions in Phuket, Patong hat, with its sandy beach three miles, restaurants, shops and night clubs is one of the most extensive and most popular. Hat Karon is another, and while the beach is less commercial, is adjacent to several resorts. There are also mountains, conservation areas and headlands to explore.

Festivals are a big part of the culture of the island, and there are some unique holiday on offer. The nine days Vegetarian Festival, which takes place in September and October, and Phuket Travel Fair, a variety of entertainment and attraction is different.Of course, like most of Thailand is exotic and delicious local cuisine, and many resorts, restaurants, hotels and other facilities, you are guaranteed a comfortable and enjoyable holiday on the island.
