Nassau / Bahamas

Nassau town was founded by the British in the seventeenth century, received the name of Charles Towe. Shortly thereafter, the name was changed to the capital of Bahamas in Nassau, named in honor of King William III of Orange-Nassau. Due to strategic positioning, Nassau has often been attacked by pirates and Spaniards burned it 3 times.






















By 1800, Nassau enter the tourist track, a resort soon became very popular among Americans. They still choose to spend their holiday in Nassau because of the small distance from the U.S..
Because natural resources are limited, tourism became the main source of income. With a population exceeding 180,000 residents, Nassau continuously exploring their potential for tourism to attract more tourists.

Hence the large number of restaurants, terraces and fancy intense night life who amazes even the most experienced party people. Besides these attractions, Nassau is famous for its large number of casinos.
Because it is one of the most important holiday destinations in the Bahamas, Nassau offers tourists many attractions. Among these, the most popular are the Pirate Museum, Gardens Ardastra (Lory parrots and flamingos are the main attraction), Nature Conservation Center, Fort Fincastle, Nassau Harbour Queen or stairs.
